1. CONSULTATION AND CERTIFICATION OF DOCUMENTS
We charge as follows for this service:
(a) $80.00 (30 minute consultation) $150.00 (60 minute consultation).
(b) in accordance with the fees published by the Attorney-General’s Department for affidavits in the Uniform Civil Procedure Rules (the “UCPR Fee”);
(c) comparable to the UCPR Fee for certification of documents;
(d) as at August 2008, the UCPR Fee for “attesting a document” was AUD $4.00 for each single-page document;
(e) disbursement fees for photocopying, printing or similar(if applicable); and
(f) we also provide services (charged at an agreed hourly rate) for more complex requirements not covered by the UCPR Fee, including to advise you on your visa options or generally answer any questions.
2. REVIEW OF APPLICATION FORMS PREPARED BY YOU
We charge as follows for this service:
(a) a fixed rate of AUD$1500.00, paid in advance (the “Review Fee”); and
(b) disbursement fees for photocopying, printing or similar(if applicable); and
(c) we also provide services (charged at an agreed hourly rate) for more complex requirements not covered by the Review Fee.
3. PREPARATION, REVIEW AND LODGMENT OF YOUR VISA APPLICATION TO THE DEPARTMENT OF IMMIGRATION AND CITIZENSHIP (“DIAC”)
We are retained by you to prepare your application, consult with you, review the information and documentation available, to lodge your completed application with DIAC and advise of the outcome.
We charge as follows for this service:
(a) a fixed rate of AUD$3000.00, (the “Preparation Fee”) paid in instalments, as follows:
Payment 1 ($1000.00) – on initial consultation (the “First Payment”);
Payment 2 ($1000.00)– on further review of information and documents (the “Second Payment”);
Payment 3 ($1000.00) – on lodgement of the Application to DIAC and replying to any minor requisitions from DIAC (the “Third Payment”);
The fixed rate DOES NOT include spouses, de-facto or interdependent partners to be included in the Application. A further fee of $500.00 will be charged.
The fixed rate DOES include dependent children that are included in
the application.
(b) disbursements for DIAC application fee (as set by DIAC) (the “DIAC Application Fee”), to be paid at the same time as the third Payment;
(c) disbursements for any postage, copying or other minor costs, as required, to be paid at the same time as the third Payment;
(d) we also provide services (charged at an agreed hourly rate) for more complex requirements not covered by the Preparation Fee; and
(e) this service does not include advice and fees to deal with any more substantial requisitions from DIAC and/or following any refusal by DIAC of the VISA application.
4. ADVISING AND APPEARING (AS REQUIRED) AT A TRIBUNAL OR COURT APPLICATION
We charge as follows for this service:
(a) an agreed hourly rate for advice;
(b) disbursements, as agreed (including barrister’s fees, as required); and
(c) in accordance with a costs agreement in accordance with the Legal Professional Act 2004 (NSW).
